The health of your eyes is extremely important to us. That is why we are a full-service eye clinic with skilled doctors trained to treat and manage ocular disease. We utilize the latest in retinal photography, visual field testing and scanning technology to aid in the diagnosis and management of macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and many other eye diseases.
Diagnosing many systemic, or "whole-body," diseases often start with a comprehensive eye examination. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, inflammatory disorders, metastatic cancer and many other whole body diseases can show up in and affect the eye.
Retinal photography takes a picture of the back of your eye so we can document subtle changes that many ocular conditions cause.
Threshold visual field testing allows us to map any vision loss you may have experienced. It is a key component when treating glaucoma and diagnosing certain brain disorders.
Ocular coherence tomography (OCT) is sophisticated imaging technology similar to an MRI. The retina is located in the back of the eye and is where light is gathered to be sent to the brain. The retina is about the thickness of a piece of paper, yet it has many layers. OCT allows us to view each individual layer of the eye and is a very helpful tool when treating macular degeneration.
